3 New Midsize SUVs Launching Soon – Creta Fighters

The competition in the midsize SUV segment has intensified with the arrival of the Maruti Victoris, new-generation Kia Seltos and Renault Duster. However, the action doesn’t stop there, as several new midsize SUVs are set to hit showrooms in the coming months.

Tata Motors has confirmed that the Sierra EV will go on sale with the official price announcement on June 30, while the Nissan Tekton will debut on July 9, 2026. Meanwhile, the Honda Elevate is set to receive its first midlife update, and is currently undergoing testing ahead of its launch before Diwali season. Here’s a closer look at these upcoming midsize SUVs.

Tata Sierra EV

The Tata Sierra EV will feature a few distinct design elements than its ICE counterpart such as a closed-off grille, revised front and rear bumpers, ‘.ev’ badging and areo-optimized alloy wheels. While the overall cabin layout and features are expected to be shared with the ICE-powered Sierra, it might get some EV-specific software updates along with V2L (vehicle-to-load) and V2V (vehicle-to-vehicle) charging capabilities.

Tata has already confirmed that the Sierra EV will be available with both RWD and AWD configurations. It’s expected to borrow the 65kWh and 75kWh battery packs from the Harrier EV, along with the Acti.ev+ architecture.

Nissan Tekton

The Nissan Tekton is essentially a rebadged version of the Renault Duster, but it comes with Nissan’s distinctive design language. The front fascia is heavily inspired by Nissan flagship Patrol SUV, featuring a wide grille with two chrome strips, LED headlamps with connected LED DRLs and dual-tone bumper.

While the black trim on the front doors and rear door handles, and flared wheel arches are similar to the Duster, the Tekton gets differently designed alloy wheels and a monotone rear bumper. The interior, features and powertrains are expected to remain identical to the Renault Duster.

Honda Elevate Facelift

The new 2026 Honda Elevate facelift was recently spotted testing in Delhi. The test mule suggests that the SUV will feature slightly revised front grille, bumper and lighting elements. At the rear, the facelifted Elevate might get revised taillamp graphics. The interior could be updated with introduction of Honda Sensing ADAS suite along with new trims and upholstery.

Under the hood, the new Honda Elevate is expected to feature the existing 1.5L naturally aspirated iVTEC petrol engine, producing 121bhp and 145Nm of torque. Transmission options might also remain unchanged.
