In Japan, Suzuki Landy primarily rivals the Honda StepWgn, Nissan Serena and Landy’s mechanical twins – Toyota Noah and Voxy
Pricing
The updated Suzuki Landy FWD is priced from JPY 3,845,600 (approximately Rs 23 lakh), while the AWD variant starts at JPY 4,128,300 (around Rs 24.71 lakh). In comparison, the Toyota Noah is offered at a more competitive starting price of JPY 3,261,500 (about Rs 19.52 lakh).
With the launch of the refreshed Landy, Suzuki aims to achieve annual sales of 1,200 units in the Japanese market.
2026 Suzuki Landy – What’s new?Exterior profile of updated Suzuki Landy is a close match to the higher-spec versions of Toyota Noah. Key features include an extra-large grille with horizontal slats, sleek top mounted LED DRLs, sharp headlamps and a sporty lower lip spoiler. Side profile has features such as U-shaped wheel arches, conventional door handles and rear sliding doors.
The updated Suzuki Landy features blacked-out pillars that create a striking floating-roof effect. Its design is characterized by a boxy silhouette, an upright front fascia, and a nearly flat roofline, emphasizing practicality and interior space. Large glass areas all around enhance visibility and provide occupants with an expansive view of their surroundings.
At the rear, the MPV sports uniquely styled tail lamps, a flat rear windscreen, a roof-mounted spoiler, and a clean, upright tailgate design. The bumper section is kept relatively simple, complementing the Landy’s functional aesthetic. Suzuki offers the refreshed Landy in three exterior colours: Metal Stream Metallic, Platinum White Pearl Mica, and Neutral Black.
In terms of functionality, one of the key updates for Landy is the addition of a new 8-seater option. The earlier 7-seater variant will continue to be available. In the cockpit section, Suzuki has improved overall comfort with soft padding added to the dashboard. Another key update is a larger 7-inch instrument cluster.
While Landy follows the Noah in most parts, the latter still maintains its premium positioning. It comes with features such as a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and option of an 8-inch or 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen. The seats are also slightly different for the two minivans. Landy misses out on a factory-fitted infotainment system. Users can install it as an accessory, with option for screen sizes in the range of 7-inch to 9-inch.
Pure petrol option discontinued
With the 2026 update, Suzuki Landy is now offered with only a self-charging hybrid powertrain. It comprises a 1.8-litre petrol engine and an electric motor. Combined power output is around 138 PS. This powertrain has an E-CVT transmission. Rated fuel efficiency is 23.2 km/L. While Landy is mainly FWD, the E-Four variant has 4WD with dual electric motors. The E-Four variant gets a ‘Snow Extra’ mode for improved performance in Japan’s winter conditions.
Landy was earlier also available with a 150 PS 2.0-litre petrol engine. This engine has now been discontinued, making Landy a hybrid-only minivan. Toyota Noah and Voxy have also been shifted to a hybrid-only model. This is likely aligned with emission compliance goals and the need to boost fuel economy.
