Mahindra BE.07 electric SUV launching in 2027.Offers 60-80kWh battery packs, 450km range and AWD & RWD options.
Mahindra & Mahindra has confirmed a new EV for 2027. However, the company has not shared its name or specifications. The model could be based on the BE.07 concept. Mahindra unveiled the concept in August 2022. If launched, the BE 07 will become the brand’s fourth born-electric SUV. It will join the XEV 9S, XEV 9e, and BE 6. As a result, Mahindra will expand its EV lineup further.
Slightly Toned-Down Version
Spy shots reveal that the production-ready Mahindra BE.07 will remain largely closer to the concept model. It will continue to feature sharply raked front and rear windscreens, a thick C-pillar, pronounced bonnet and muscular squarish wheel arches.
The test mule asl revealed flush door handles, large aero-optimized wheels, a front bumper with colling air inlets and a side step. However, the sharp details from the concept could be toned down for production such the different lighting elements, conventional wing mirrors replacing the camera-based side view system.
Interior & Features
The interior layout and features are expected to be shared with the Mahindra XEV 9e and XEV 9S. The electric SUV is likely to feature a triple screen setup along with features such as wireless Apple CarPlay and Android connectivity, connected car tech, premium audio system, a panoramic sunroof, wireless charger, ventilated front seats, dual zone climate control, an augmented reality HUD, an air purifier, 360-degree camera with blind spot monitor, an ADAS suite and more.
Expected Battery & Range
While official powertrain details of the Mahindra BE 07 are still under the wraps, the EV is expected to feature battery pack ranging between 60kWh – 80kWh. It’s likely to deliver a range up to 450km. Both RWD and AWD versions could be on offer. The RWD variant might get electric motor delivering outputs between 231bhp – 286bhp, while the AWD model is likely to offer power around 340bhp – 394bhp.
Dimensions & Competition
Dimensionally, the production-ready Mahindra BE.07 SUV is expected to be similar to its concept, which measures 4,565mm in length, 1,900mm in width and 1,660mm in height with a wheelbase of 2,775mm. When launched, it will be directly positioned against the Vinfast VF7 and Tata Harrier EV.
